We don't talk enough about the subject of hand washing in Early Childhood Education. It is a fact that proper hand washing is the basis of health and safety in a child care program. Providers and teacher need to understand the historical perspective of hand washing along with how to apply proper hand washing routines in the classroom for themselves and the students.
