Developmentally Appropriate Practice with Young Children

"Developmentally Appropriate Practice with Young Children" D.A.P.

Providers and teachers in early childhood programs providing and offering content, materials, activities and methodologies that coordinate with a child's level of development is what D.A.P. is all about...

D.A.P. is child centered.  In an early childhood program, providers and teachers are expected to treat children as individuals with unique interests and needs.  In a D.A.P. classroom, children are respected.

There is no right or wrong in a D.A.P. classroom.
